Alex Booth

Alex Booth is a partner in the Commercial and Reinsurance Groups.

After studying law at Oxford University, Alex qualified as a solicitor in 1996. She became a partner of the firm in April 2004.

Alex specialises in regulatory work for the insurance and financial services industries. She advises on all aspects of regulation including FCA/PRA, Lloyd’s and EEA passporting issues and regularly handles applications for regulatory authorisation.

Alex also has extensive experience in litigation, arbitration and mediation of insurance and reinsurance disputes. She has handled a wide range of disputes acting for insurance companies, Lloyd’s syndicates and brokers.

Alex is a Vice President of the Insurance Institute of London (IIL) and past chair of the IIL’s Representatives Committee.  Outside work, Alex is a CAMRA member who enjoys sampling the many real ales on offer at her local pub. She is also a Sherlock Holmes enthusiast and a Northampton Saints rugby season ticket holder.
